Welcome to The Backstage Closet, the first virtual thrifting platform for figure skaters to shop and sell gently used and new apparel, to other skaters! Founded by Emma-Kate Murphy, a former competitive figure skater turned coach, our platform stems from her passion for making a meaningful impact within the figure skating community. Drawing upon her background in marketing and corporate social responsibility, the platform not only provides access to high-quality gear for skaters but also fosters a sense of camaraderie in solo sports.
The Backstage Closet’s mission is to provide a place for the skating world to shop and sell second-hand, making the sport more accessible and sustainable, all while building a sense of community. Together, we’re dedicated to connecting skaters one dress at a time.

Not only do we provide a network for skaters to buy and sell directly to other skaters, but we are also building a space where athletes feel connected and supported. One old dress you never wear anymore might become another skater's dream dress!
